Bhavesh Shekhawat, Simranpreet Kaur Brar Win at Olympic Shooting Trials

Bhavesh Shekhawat and Simranpreet Kaur Brar triumphed in the men’s 25m rapid-fire pistol and women’s 25m pistol trials, respectively, during the Olympic Selection Trials in New Delhi. Shekhawat scored 34 in the RFP final, followed by Anish Bhanwala (29) and Vijayveer Sidhu (22). Simranpreet’s 37-hit performance outshone Olympian Manu Bhaker’s 35-hits, securing her victory. Esha Singh took third place with 30-hits, while Rhythm Sangwan and Abhidnya Patil finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

Upsets Galore at the Olympic Shooting Trials

Manu Bhaker and Anish Bhanwala, reigning champions, faced unexpected setbacks in the second Olympic shooting trial in New Delhi. In the men’s 25m rapid fire pistol, Bhavesh Shekhawat emerged victorious over Anish. Simranpreet Kaur triumphed over Bhaker in a tight race in the women’s 25m pistol category. The trials aim to select India’s shooting contingent for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
