Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has opened the application window for the December 2024 Term-End Examination (TEE). Students enrolled in online and Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programs can submit their exam forms through the official website until October 31st, 2024. The exam is scheduled to begin on December 2nd, 2024, covering both pen-and-paper and computer-based test modes.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has instructed all higher education institutions in India to cease admitting international students to open and distance learning (ODL) programmes. This decision aligns with the eligibility criteria outlined in UGC’s Annexure III, which mandates that only students residing within India are eligible to enrol in ODL programs. The move is consistent with the Ministry of Home Affairs’ decision to deny student visas to international students sponsored by unaccredited educational institutions offering off-campus, distance learning, or outreach programs without the necessary regulatory approval.
