Orlando Airports Activate Emergency Protocols for Hurricane Milton

Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Orlando Executive Airport (ORL) have activated their Emergency Operations Centers to Level 2, implementing pre-storm protocols in anticipation of Hurricane Milton. The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) is taking proactive measures to ensure the safety of both airports and passengers, working in coordination with airlines to minimize disruptions.

Avelo Airlines Resumes Nonstop Flights Between Central Wisconsin and Orlando

Avelo Airlines has announced the resumption of its popular nonstop summer flights connecting Central Wisconsin Airport (CWA) with Orlando International Airport (MCO). The service, which was briefly paused in May, will now accommodate summer travelers with flights scheduled for Wednesdays and Saturdays, using Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft. This service will continue through Labor Day, ensuring consistent availability for this route during the peak travel season. Avelo’s Head of Commercial, Trevor Yealy, expressed excitement about providing summer flights between Central Wisconsin and Orlando, offering travelers a reliable and economical way to access entertainment and attractions. Central Wisconsin Airport Director, Brian Grefe, also highlighted the convenience of the service, especially for those traveling to the Florida Keys.
