Federal agencies, including the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security, have issued a warning about potential threats to LGBTQIA-related events and venues during June’s Pride Month. The agencies caution that foreign terrorist organizations or their supporters may seek to exploit increased gatherings associated with this annual celebration. This warning comes on the heels of the eighth anniversary of the deadly attack on the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Florida, which remains the deadliest attack on the LGBTQ community in U.S. history.
