Voting for Phase 2 of Lok Sabha Elections Begins, Over 15 Crore Voters Eligible

The second phase of the Lok Sabha elections commenced on Friday across 88 Parliamentary Constituencies. Over 15.88 crore voters are eligible to cast their votes at 1.67 lakh polling stations. The Election Commission has deployed over 16 lakh polling officials, along with 89 general observers, 53 police observers, and 109 expenditure observers to ensure smooth and fair conduct of the election. Special arrangements have been made to facilitate voting in hot weather conditions, including extending the polling time in certain areas.
