Aamir Khan Unveils New Version of Iconic Song ‘Papa Kehte Hain’

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan launched a new rendition of his iconic song ‘Papa Kehte Hain’ from his debut film ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’. Titled ‘Papa Kehte Hain 2.0’, the track features in the upcoming film ‘Srikanth’, starring Rajkummar Rao. The film is based on the inspiring life story of Srikanth Bolla, an Indian entrepreneur who founded Bollant Industries despite being visually impaired. Rao shared his challenges in portraying a visually impaired character, emphasizing the importance of preparation and observation.

Bollywood legend Aamir Khan has unveiled a revitalized version of his beloved song ‘Papa Kehte Hain’ from his 1988 blockbuster ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak.’ The new rendition, titled ‘Papa Kehte Hain 2.0,’ graces the upcoming film ‘Srikanth’, starring actor Rajkummar Rao.

Khan shared fond memories of ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak,’ marking a significant milestone in his and many others’ careers. Despite initial self-doubt, the film’s release proved to be a transformative moment in Indian cinema.

Udit Narayan, the original vocalist of ‘Papa Kehte Hain,’ recounted his nervousness in performing for Khan, expressing his willingness to abandon the project if the song fell short of expectations. ‘Srikanth,’ directed by Tushar Hiranandani, is slated to hit theaters on May 10th.

The heartwarming video features Jyothika and Alaya F, while the song, sung by Udit Narayan and recreated by Aditya Dev, pays homage to the original by Anand Milind. ‘Srikanth’, a biographical drama about Srikanth Bolla, releases on May 10, 2024.
