Maharashtra Education Board Proposes Lower Passing Marks for Math and Science: A Controversial Move?

In a bid to reduce student stress and prevent dropouts, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has proposed lowering the passing marks for Mathematics and Science in its new curriculum framework. However, this move has sparked debate, with some arguing it may compromise academic standards while others see it as a necessary step to ensure students don’t get left behind.

Goa SSC 2024 Supplementary Exam Dates Announced

The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has announced the dates for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) supplementary exams for 2024. Students who did not secure passing marks in their initial attempts will have another chance to improve their scores. The supplementary exams will take place from June 18 to June 28, from 2 pm to 5 pm. Students must carry their admit card to the exam center and arrive by 1:00 pm. Late arrivals will result in disqualification. The overall pass percentage in the 2024 SSC results was 92.38%, with 17,473 out of 18,914 students passing the exam.
