Heyward will announce the first-round pick, while Freiermuth will announce the second-round pick. In addition, Juan Soto from Morelia, Mexico, will announce the team’s first sixth-round pick. Freiermuth is excited to announce the pick after Franco Harris announced the Steelers picking him in the 2021 NFL Draft. The Steelers have seven picks in the NFL Draft, with three on day three and four in the first two days. It has become a tradition for the team to have current or past players announce their picks.
