Tenon Medical Inc (TNON) shares skyrocketed on Friday after receiving three patent approvals from the USPTO for its innovative SI joint prostheses. These patents are expected to strengthen the company’s existing intellectual property portfolio and support its growth strategy.

Kurukshetra University (KU) has been granted two patents by the Patent Office, Government of India. The patents are for “Carboxymethycellulose Ester Based Drug Delivery System” and “Apoptosis Inducing Composition Compromising Triazolothiazolyl-Triazole Derivative of Benzene”. This brings KU’s total number of patents granted to 22. Vice-Chancellor Prof Som Nath congratulated the research group and highlighted the university’s efforts to encourage research, including incentives, recognition, and assistance with patent filing. Prof Ramesh Kumar Mehta, an alumnus of KU, has been appointed as an honorary Professor of IPR & Technology Transfer to provide expertise and support to faculty members.
