IonQ’s Patent Surge Fuels Stock Gains: Five New Patents Boost Quantum Computing Capabilities

Quantum computing company IonQ has received five new U.S. patents that bolster its technology across multiple industries and applications. These patents, covering areas like quantum circuit optimization, reduced noise, and scalable manufacturing, solidify IonQ’s position as a leader in quantum computing. The company’s pending acquisition of Qubitekk will further expand its patent portfolio to over 600.

Kurukshetra University Bags Two Patents in April

Kurukshetra University (KU) has been granted two patents by the Patent Office, Government of India. The patents are for “Carboxymethycellulose Ester Based Drug Delivery System” and “Apoptosis Inducing Composition Compromising Triazolothiazolyl-Triazole Derivative of Benzene”. This brings KU’s total number of patents granted to 22. Vice-Chancellor Prof Som Nath congratulated the research group and highlighted the university’s efforts to encourage research, including incentives, recognition, and assistance with patent filing. Prof Ramesh Kumar Mehta, an alumnus of KU, has been appointed as an honorary Professor of IPR & Technology Transfer to provide expertise and support to faculty members.
