Phone Thief’s Flight from New York to Jersey City Ends in Arrest

A man accused of stealing a cell phone from a woman at a PATH station in Manhattan was arrested in Jersey City after a short chase. The suspect, 24-year-old Jason Porch, jumped on a New Jersey-bound train after swiping the phone at the Christopher Street station on Tuesday afternoon. Police were on alert and apprehended Porch when he disembarked at the Newport station in Jersey City. He faces multiple charges, including attempted robbery, assault, and resisting arrest.
