Andhra Pradesh Minister Pawan Kalyan has expressed deep concern over the discovery of animal fat in Tirupati Balaji Prasad, urging the TTD board to address the issue. He proposed the establishment of a ‘Sanatana Dharma Rakshana Board’ to protect temples from desecration. The controversy erupted after the TDP claimed a lab report confirmed the presence of animal fats in the ghee used to prepare the laddu.
Former Chief Minister and TDP national president N. Chandrababu Naidu has accused the YSRCP government of neglecting the Uttarandhra region in the last five years. He alleged that Chief Minister Y.S. Jana Sena Party (JSP) President Pawan Kalyan, the candidate for the JSP-BJP-TDP alliance in the Pithapuram Assembly constituency, submitted his nomination papers on Tuesday, marking Hanuman Jayanthi. Accompanied by JSP general secretary and his brother K. Nagababu and TDP Pithapuram in-charge S.V.S.N. Varma, Mr. Pawan Kalyan began the nomination rally from his temporary residence at Chebrolu village. Clad in a white kurta and pyjama, Mr. Pawan Kalyan led the rally by tying the scarfs of the TDP and the BJP as a mark of the representation of the three-party alliance.
Janasena founder and actor Pawan Kalyan has declared that his family has assets worth Rs 164.53 crore and an income of nearly Rs 60 crore in the last four years. However, he also declared liabilities of Rs 65.77 crore. Despite showing a loss in his Income Tax returns, Kalyan owns 11 vehicles worth over Rs 14 crore, including a Harley Davidson bike and Range Rover. The actor-politician also faces eight criminal cases, including provocative speeches and violation of Motor Vehicle Rules.
