Phuket is experiencing a tourism surge this August, with daily flight arrivals doubling compared to last year. Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin has convened a strategic meeting to prepare for the upcoming peak season, which is expected to see a record-breaking number of visitors. Authorities are implementing new safety measures and collaborating with international consulates to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for tourists.
In response to strong demand, Qantas will increase its flight frequency from Bengaluru to Sydney from five times per week to daily during the peak holiday season from mid-December 2024 to late March 2025. This expansion will add over 12,000 seats between the two cities. Qantas’ existing flights from Delhi to Melbourne operate three days per week. All Qantas international fares include baggage allowance, food and beverages, and inflight entertainment. The airline is also introducing fast and free Wi-Fi on its international fleet, including the A330 aircraft used on the Bengaluru-Sydney route, with enough bandwidth for every passenger to enjoy a fast and consistent connection.
To curb overcrowding and protect pristine natural habitats, several national parks are implementing timed-entry reservation systems in 2024. Visitors should secure tickets in advance to avoid disappointment upon arrival.
