Businesswoman Found Dead at Hotel Used by Royal Wedding Guests

Samantha Mickleburgh, a businesswoman, was found dead at the five-star Pennyhill Park hotel in Surrey, England. The hotel is a favorite with the England rugby squad and was used to accommodate guests for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in 2018. James Cartwright, 60, has been charged with murder and controlling and coercive behavior in connection with Mickleburgh’s death. Mickleburgh’s family paid tribute to her, describing her as a dedicated mother, daughter, and friend.

James Cartwright, 60, has been charged with murdering his ex-partner, Samantha Mickleburgh, 54, at the Pennyhill Park Hotel in Surrey. He has also been charged with controlling and coercive behavior. Mickleburgh’s body was found at the hotel on April 14th, the day after Cartwright’s birthday. Specially-trained officers are supporting her family, who have released a statement describing her as “an incredible mother, a beautiful daughter, and a cherished friend.”
