The Pet Gala, an annual fashion fete, brought together 18 dogs adorned in couture outfits inspired by iconic celebrity looks from this year’s Met Gala. The event celebrated the intricate designs and showcased the creativity of designer Anthony Rubio. Proceeds from the gala benefited the American Kennel Club Museum of the Dog, mirroring the philanthropic nature of its human counterpart, the Met Gala’s support of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. The canine fashionistas, ranging from a shih tzu as Chris Hemsworth to a Leonberger, exuded elegance and style, embodying the Garden of Time theme. The outfits will be showcased at the Museum of the Dog throughout June.
