Peterborough Police Deploy Stun Gun in Domestic Assault Arrest

In the early hours of Saturday, Peterborough police responded to a disturbance call at a residence on Sydenham Road. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact but received no response. They entered the home to find an injured woman and encountered a man who allegedly resisted their repeated demands. An officer used a conducted energy weapon, allowing them to take the man into custody. The 37-year-old Peterborough resident was charged with multiple offenses, including spousal assault, assault with intent to resist arrest, and breach of probation.

Gunpoint Arrest in Peterborough After Reported Vehicle Theft

Peterborough police arrested a 19-year-old man at gunpoint on May 4th after a reported vehicle theft. The suspect allegedly attempted to flee in the stolen vehicle before being blocked in by police. He was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, driving while under suspension, and had outstanding warrants for theft and possession of property obtained by crime.
