In the early hours of Saturday, Peterborough police responded to a disturbance call at a residence on Sydenham Road. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact but received no response. They entered the home to find an injured woman and encountered a man who allegedly resisted their repeated demands. An officer used a conducted energy weapon, allowing them to take the man into custody. The 37-year-old Peterborough resident was charged with multiple offenses, including spousal assault, assault with intent to resist arrest, and breach of probation.

Police in Peterborough, Ontario, used a stun gun to arrest a 30-year-old man suspected of breaking into a vacant and condemned building early Sunday morning.
