Phalodi, Rajasthan Reaches 50°C Amidst Heatwave During General Elections

Phalodi, Rajasthan experienced a scorching 50°C on Saturday, becoming the hottest location in India amidst the sixth phase of general elections. This marked the highest temperature recorded since June 2019, when Churu registered 50.8°C. Moreover, Phalodi’s temperature reached an all-time high of 51°C on May 19, 2016. The heatwave, affecting the northern plains and central regions, is expected to persist in the coming days.
