Star Trek and Selma actor David Oyelowo has joined the ensemble cast of an untitled musical film inspired by Pharrell Williams’ formative years growing up in Virginia Beach in the 1970s. The film, which is currently in pre-production, will be directed by Michel Gondry and produced by Williams himself, alongside Mimi Valdés and Gil Netter. The script was written by Martin Hynes and Steven Levenson.
