Lok Sabha Elections Phase 7: Curtain Comes Down on Intense Campaigning

The high-stakes campaign for the final phase of Lok Sabha elections concluded on May 30, with campaigning taking place in 57 constituencies across seven states and the Union territory of Chandigarh. Prominent leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressed rallies, making various allegations and promises. The Opposition, led by the Congress and INDIA alliance, accused the BJP of being anti-farmer, anti-youth, and engaging in hateful speeches. The BJP, in turn, blamed the Opposition for promoting appeasement and dynasty politics. Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh accused Modi of lowering the dignity of public discourse. The campaign saw the participation of senior leaders from both sides, with high-decibel rallies and roadshows. The results of the elections will be announced on June 4.
