CMRL Gears Up for Viaduct Construction at Kathipara Junction in Chennai’s Phase II Metro Rail Network

Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) is preparing to construct a viaduct at the Kathipara junction in Guindy as part of the 116-km Phase II Metro Rail Project. The project involves building a corridor from Madhavaram to Sholinganallur via Kathipara junction, which will crisscross the existing Phase I network. CMRL has received approvals from the Commissioner of Railway Safety and the Airports Authority of India to build the viaduct, taking precautions to avoid safety issues with flight paths and train operations.
