Google’s latest move to lower the price of the Pixel Tablet to $400 may seem like a good deal, but upon closer examination, it becomes clear that this price reduction comes at a significant cost – the removal of the speaker dock, which is the device’s most unique and value-added feature. The lack of accompanying accessories, such as a keyboard or stylus, and the limited tablet-optimized app ecosystem further diminish the Pixel Tablet’s appeal. As a result, it becomes an overpriced and mediocre tablet when compared to the competition, such as the Apple iPad and Amazon Fire Max 11, which offer a more comprehensive user experience and accessories at comparable or even lower price points.
