Collins Khalusha, a confessed serial killer accused of murdering 42 women in Kenya, has escaped from police custody. Khalusha, along with 12 others, managed to break out of the Gigiri police station by cutting through a security fence and scaling a perimeter wall. Kenyan authorities have launched a manhunt for the escapees and have arrested eight police officers for their alleged involvement in the escape.
Orpheus Pledger, a former Home and Away star, has reportedly escaped police custody while undergoing a mental health assessment at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. The 30-year-old actor was detained since March 25 for allegedly attacking a woman and was granted permission to seek mental health treatment. However, after being escorted to the hospital by police, Pledger allegedly waited six hours before leaving the premises in violation of his bail conditions. Police have issued a warrant for his arrest, and a search operation is underway.
