Once infamous for drought and starvation, Kalahandi Lok Sabha constituency in western Odisha has undergone a remarkable transformation. The operationalisation of the Indravati Irrigation project and schemes like the Revised Long-Term Action Plan (RLTAP) have worked wonders for the region. This transformation is evident in the presence of an airstrip, a medical college, a university, and other projects. Political parties across the board, including the BJD, BJP, and Congress, are claiming credit for this development and promising further progress if elected.
