NASA is partnering with private companies like Axiom Space, Blue Origin, and Voyager Space to develop and launch space stations that will replace the International Space Station after its decommissioning in 2031. These stations will serve as platforms for research, tourism, and commercial activities, and will also play a crucial role in NASA’s lunar exploration plans.
Private companies are lagging far behind their publicly listed counterparts when it comes to addressing net zero emissions, according to a new study. Only half of the world’s 100 largest private firms have set a net zero or emissions reduction target, compared with the vast majority (82) of the 100 largest publicly-owned firms. This is despite a growth in climate and ESG regulation around the world, which is increasingly requiring companies to disclose their climate impacts and take action to decarbonize.
