Matt Ryan Retires After 15-Year NFL Career, Leaves Legacy as Falcons Legend

Former Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan has announced his retirement after 15 seasons in the NFL. Ryan, who spent all but one season of his career with the Falcons, announced his decision Monday at the team’s training complex. During his time in Atlanta, Ryan led the Falcons to three division titles, six playoff appearances, and the NFC Championship game in 2012. He won the league MVP award in 2016 and is ranked seventh in NFL history for passing yards and ninth in career TD passes.
