Sanjay Leela Bhansali, known for his lavish production designs, has created a massive set for his upcoming period drama series ‘Heeramandi’. The series revolves around the lives of tawaifs (courtesans) in pre-independence India. The set, spanning three acres, took seven months to build and features intricate Mughal miniature paintings, frescoes, and handcrafted elements. Bhansali believes that architecture plays a crucial role in storytelling and has meticulously designed the set to reflect the era and culture of the show.
