Porsche Car Involved in Pune Accident Had Pending Registration, Owner Failed to Pay Fee

Top Maharashtra transport officials revealed that the Porsche Taycan involved in the fatal accident in Pune had its permanent registration pending since March due to the owner’s failure to pay a fee of Rs. 1,758. The vehicle was driven by a 17-year-old son of a prominent builder, allegedly under the influence of alcohol. The temporary registration certificate, issued by Karnataka, expired in September 2024, and the car will now be impounded for 12 months due to gross negligence.

Pune Accident: MPCC Chief Raises Concerns, Demands Police Commissioner’s Removal

The Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) chief spokesperson, Londhe, has alleged that the teenager involved in the Pune accident was served pizzas and burgers at the police station following the incident. He also questioned the lack of promptness in initiating action against the accused and demanded the suspension of police officers involved in handling the case. Additionally, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut called for the removal of the Pune police commissioner, stating that the commissioner should be removed or the people of Pune will come on the streets.
