The downpour, which began around 5 pm, uprooted trees at 15 locations in the city. Waterlogging was reported in various parts of Pune, including Sinhagad Road’s Pashan, where water accumulated on the ground floor of a building. Traffic was disrupted on major roads such as Deccan Gymkhana, Jungli Maharaj Road, Karve Road, Nagar Road, Dhanori, Vimannagar, Solapur, and Satara Road. Residents took to social media to share videos of the flooding and waterlogging, expressing concerns about the lack of infrastructure to handle heavy rains. The Shivaji Nagar and Pashan areas recorded 67.4 mm and 56.8 mm of rainfall, respectively, on Saturday.
