Arc Raiders, initially announced as a free-to-play co-op shooter, has undergone a significant transformation, becoming a premium-priced PvPvE extraction shooter. This change, while surprising, aims to deliver a more engaging and fun experience according to Embark, the developer. Players will now explore a desolate Earth, competing against both AI and other players for loot, making for a high-risk, high-reward experience.
