E. coli Outbreak Linked to McDonald’s Quarter Pounder Burgers Spreads Across 13 US States

An E. coli outbreak linked to McDonald’s Quarter Pounder burgers has sickened at least 75 people across 13 US states, with one fatality reported in Colorado. The CDC is investigating the source of contamination, but initial findings point to uncooked slivered onions from a Taylor Farms facility in Colorado Springs. McDonald’s has removed the Quarter Pounder from menus in several states and other fast-food chains have taken similar precautions.
