Singh admitted to committing a Level 1 offense under Article 2.20 of the code, which includes actions outside the course of normal cricket, such as causing damage to equipment or fixtures. The punishment was imposed by the match referee, and Singh has accepted the sanction. KKR secured an 18-run win over Mumbai Indians in a rain-curtailed match, becoming the first team to secure a playoff berth this season. Singh contributed to KKR’s victory with a quickfire knock of unbeaten 17 runs off 8 balls in the finishing overs of the first innings.
