Randolph High School senior Connor Stokoe’s focus on shortening his approach at the plate paid off with a game-winning single in the bottom of the seventh inning, lifting the Rams to a 10-9 victory over Pope John in a Northwest Jersey Athletic Conference division matchup. Stokoe’s heroics came after Pope John had staged a furious rally in the top of the seventh inning to tie the game at 9. The win improves Randolph’s record to 11-1, while Pope John falls to 5-7.
