Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo Elected President of National Rifle Association of India

Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo has been elected as the new president of the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI), succeeding Raninder Singh who stepped down last year due to term limits imposed by the National Sports Code. Deo, a former MP from Odisha, has been leading the NRAI as caretaker president since April 2022 and oversaw India’s successful performance at the Paris Olympics, where the country secured three bronze medals.

NRAI to Elect New President on September 14, Replacing Raninder Singh

The National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) will hold elections for its president on September 14, filling the position left vacant by Raninder Singh after his 12-year tenure. The elections will only be for the remaining term of the current electoral cycle, which is one year. The NRAI has been headed by senior vice-president Kalikesh Singh Deo since Raninder’s departure in April 2022.
