The party, held at the Supernova residential society in Noida Sector-39, was attended by students from a well-known college and featured alcohol, hookahs, and a WhatsApp-organized invitation system with an entry fee. BJP Calls Bengaluru ‘Udta Bengaluru’ After 86 Rave Party Attendees Test Positive for Drugs

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has criticized the Congress-led government in Karnataka for the alleged deteriorating law and order situation in the state, after 86 out of 103 attendees at a rave party in Bengaluru tested positive for drugs. The BJP has termed the Silicon City “Udta Bengaluru,” alleging that the city is becoming a haven for narcotic substances and rave parties.

The saffron party’s use of the term “Udta Bengaluru” is a reference to the 2016 Bollywood movie “Udta Punjab,” which highlighted drug abuse by youth in Punjab. However, Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara has said that the opposition’s use of the term is incorrect and that the BJP should not cast aspersions.
