Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra has been booked by the Delhi Police for a derogatory social media post against NCW chief Rekha Sharma. The post, which has since been deleted, was made in response to a video of Sharma visiting the Hathras stampede venue. Moitra shared her location with the police and dared them to take action immediately.

The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has filed a complaint with the Election Commission of India against National Commission for Women (NCW) chief Rekha Sharma and BJP leaders including Piyali Das, alleging that they coerced women in Sandeshkhali to sign blank papers without knowing their purpose.
