Darshan Thoogudeepa and Pavithra Gowda Charged in Renukaswamy Murder Case

A massive 3991-page chargesheet has been filed against Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa and his friend Pavithra Gowda in the murder case of Darshan’s fan, Renukaswamy. The chargesheet, submitted to the 24th Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court in Bengaluru, includes witness statements, forensic evidence, and circumstantial evidence, alleging that Darshan and Pavithra conspired in Renukaswamy’s death.

Darshan Thoogudeepa’s Police Custody Extended in Renukaswamy Murder Case

Darshan Thoogudeepa, a Kannada actor known as “Challenging Star,” and 12 associates remain in police custody until June 20 in connection with the murder of Renukaswamy, a fan who allegedly made offensive comments about the actor’s wife on social media. The post-mortem report revealed that Renukaswamy was tortured with electric shocks before his death, with police seizing evidence including the device used for torture. Further investigation revealed that Renukaswamy was abducted and taken to a warehouse where he was tortured and ultimately killed.

Kannada Actor Darshan Thoogudeepa Detained in Murder Case

Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa was detained on Tuesday by the Bangalore police from Mysore in connection with the murder case of Renukaswamy. The investigation began after Renukaswamy’s body was discovered near Sumannahalli Bridge in Bengaluru. Initial police inquiries suggest that Renukaswamy had made derogatory social media posts about actress Pavitra Gowda. So far, ten people have been apprehended in connection with the case. A press conference is planned by the police to provide additional details about the investigation.
