Rental Car Theft Ring Busted at Upstate New York Airport

A group of individuals posing as rental car employees stole multiple vehicles from the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport in Upstate New York. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has reported that nine vehicles have been stolen so far this year, with eight of those being rental cars. The stolen vehicles were used to commit larcenies and robberies in Rochester and Irondequoit. Four people have been arrested in connection with the thefts, including Breanna Brummond, Nicholas Morales, and Esu Edwards. Law enforcement has implemented new security measures to prevent further incidents.
