MSI has introduced a new PBO Enhanced Mode for its AM5 motherboards that can significantly improve performance in select applications, offering up to 22% gains for Ryzen 9 9950X, 9900X, 9700X, and 9600X CPUs. The mode enhances AMD’s Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO) and also includes new thermal and memory optimization features.

The new processor boasts a 45% increase in AES encryption and a 39% boost in FP32 and FP64 operations compared to the Ryzen 9 7950X. Additionally, the Ryzen 9 9950X demonstrates up to 55% faster performance than Intel’s Core i9-13900K in specific workloads.
