Congress General Secretary Sachin Pilot has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of running a negative campaign rather than engaging in a debate on issues, policies, and governance structures. He claims that the Congress is talking about equitable growth while the BJP has resorted to fear-mongering and lies.
Lokesh Sharma, the former officer on special duty (OSD) to former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, has accused Gehlot of providing him with audio clips of cabinet ministers and instructing him to release them to the media. Sharma also claimed that the phones of Sachin Pilot and those close to him were tapped when it was learned that they were seeking support from the Congress high command over issues with Gehlot’s leadership. Sharma further alleged that Gehlot was behind the attempt to sabotage Sachin Pilot’s chances of becoming the Chief Minister of Rajasthan.
Congress leader Sachin Pilot criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s campaign speeches, alleging that they aimed to incite communal tensions to divert attention from electoral setbacks. He questioned the Election Commission’s impartiality and accused the BJP of undermining constitutional institutions. Pilot also condemned Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for his behavior towards Rahul Gandhi, calling it unbecoming of a constitutional post holder.
