Salman Khan Firing Incident: Unit-9 Recovers Two Pistols from Tapi River

The Unit-9 of the Mumbai Police has recovered two pistols, four magazines, and 13 live rounds from the Tapi River in Surat, Gujarat. The pistols are suspected to be foreign-made weapons, possibly of Chinese or Pakistani origin. The recovery was made after one of the accused, Vicky Gupta, identified the spot where the weapons were disposed of. The crime branch deployed skilled divers from Mumbai to locate the firearms in the river, which has a depth of 20-30 feet and a variable flow speed of 2-15 kmph. The river also has strong undercurrents, which made the recovery challenging. The crime branch launched the operation after Gupta revealed how they had escaped and discarded the firearms during interrogation.
