Outrage as Hundreds of Homes Set to be Built on Land That Inspired Beloved Children’s Book, Watership Down

Residents of a UK town are furious over plans to build hundreds of homes on land that inspired the classic children’s book, Watership Down. The development, which includes 360 homes, has been met with more than 100 objections from locals concerned about the impact on the environment and the book’s legacy. The land was made famous in Richard Adams’ 1972 novel, which follows a group of rabbits as they escape the destruction of their warren by developers and look for somewhere new to call home.
