Turkish Airlines is adding Santiago, Chile to its global network, launching four weekly flights starting December 18th, 2024. This new route marks the airline’s tenth destination in the Americas, connecting travelers to the vibrant city and its breathtaking landscapes with a stopover in Sao Paulo.
Frontier Airlines continues to grow its international network, announcing new flights to Bridgetown, Barbados, and Santiago, Dominican Republic, from San Juan, Puerto Rico. The new routes will operate thrice weekly, with fares starting from $59 one-way. Additionally, Frontier is launching a route between Charlotte Douglas International Airport and Miami International Airport, with starting fares of $29 one-way. The announcement comes as Frontier prepares to open a crew base in San Juan, which will be home to 90 pilots and 200 flight attendants.
The world’s largest sporting event for athletes with intellectual disabilities will be held in Santiago, Chile in 2027. The Special Olympics International Board of Directors announced the host city today, marking the first time the World Games will take place in the Southern Hemisphere.
