Scandic Hotels and SAS Scandinavian Airlines have announced a strategic partnership to offer exclusive loyalty benefits to their combined 11 million members. This collaboration, titled “Friends with Benefits,” will launch in early 2025 and features status matching, points conversion, and a range of other perks designed to enhance the travel experience for frequent Nordic travelers.
Swedish construction firm NCC has secured a contract to renovate a hotel in Helsinki’s Elielinaukio, transforming it into a modern Scandic hotel with 174 rooms. The project, valued at approximately SEK 180 million, emphasizes sustainability and modern hospitality standards.
Scandic Hotels Group has successfully refinanced its credit facilities, securing 3,250 million SEK in long-term financing to support its ambitious growth plans. The new agreement, which takes effect on July 1, 2024, is aligned with the company’s sustainability strategy and provides flexibility for future expansion.
