With a robust passport power, Australia’s travelers play a significant role in fostering economic growth and strengthening global ties. Despite rebounding from pandemic lows, overseas departures are yet to reach pre-pandemic levels, but the upward trend remains strong.

Schengen Visa Fees to Increase in 2024, Affecting Travel Costs to Europe

Effective June 11, 2024, visa fees for the Schengen area will increase. Adult visa fees will rise from €80 to €90, while children’s visas will increase from €40 to €45. The fee increase is being implemented to account for inflation and rising civil servant salaries. Non-European countries such as India, Pakistan, and China will be affected by this change. The Schengen area includes 29 countries, and visa-free travel is permitted for 90 days within this region for citizens of member countries.
