The Jharkhand government has permitted all schools to reopen from May 13th onwards. This decision follows the suspension of classes up to grade 8 since April 29th due to a severe heatwave. The School Education and Literacy Department’s order allows classes to resume as scheduled, with grades 9-12 already attending classes from 7 am to 11.30 am. The recent rainfall has provided much-needed relief from the heatwave, with maximum temperatures likely to remain unchanged for the next three to four days.
