Around 1,900 Calgary high school students spent a school day at Calaway Park, an amusement park just west of Calgary, for a unique physics and science day. The event is part of a partnership between the park and the University of Calgary, giving students the opportunity to earn a mini degree in “rollercoasterology.” Students used their math, science, and physics skills to answer questions based on the park’s rides.
