Freesat SD Box Owners Lose Access to Channels as HD Shift Progresses

Freesat viewers with older standard definition (SD) set-top boxes are losing access to a growing number of channels as broadcasters phase out SD services in favor of high definition (HD) only. The BBC and ITV have already made the switch, and now several others have followed suit, including all UK radio stations. Viewers with affected boxes will need to upgrade to continue receiving these channels. The BBC had previously offered vouchers towards new boxes, but the program has ended.
