Indian Army Neutralizes Three Terrorists in Fierce 27-Hour Encounter in Jammu and Kashmir

In a major victory against terrorism, Indian security forces successfully neutralized three terrorists in a 27-hour long encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Akhnoor sector. The operation, which began after terrorists attacked an army convoy, saw the deployment of advanced weaponry and tactics, including BMP-II infantry combat vehicles, helicopters, and drones. The encounter also resulted in the tragic loss of an army dog, Phantom, who was fatally wounded during the operation.

Seven Naxals Killed in Encounter in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar Region

A fierce encounter between security forces and Naxalites in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar region has resulted in the death of at least seven Naxals. The encounter, which is still ongoing, took place in the Abhujmaad forest, located on the border of Narayanpur and Dantewada districts. Security personnel have recovered seven bodies and a large cache of weapons from the site. The encounter follows the discovery of a Naxalite camp in the Sukma district, where security forces unearthed a huge cache of explosives and other materials.

Terrorist Encounters in Jammu and Kashmir Amidst Assembly Elections

Jammu and Kashmir witnessed two separate encounters between security forces and terrorists in Kathua and Kulgam districts on Thursday and Saturday. One policeman was killed and an assistant sub-inspector injured in the Kathua encounter, while three army personnel and a police officer were injured in Kulgam. These incidents highlight the ongoing tensions in the region, especially during the ongoing assembly elections.
