A former Washington police officer, Elias Huizar, who was wanted in connection with two killings, was found in Oregon with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. His 1-year-old son was found safe with him. Huizar was believed to be heading to Mexico with his son after allegedly killing his ex-wife and another woman, his girlfriend, in West Richland, Washington. Oregon State Police located Huizar driving south on Interstate 5 near Eugene and pursued him. He was found shot in the head, and his condition is currently unknown.
