Tamil Nadu is set to become India’s first state to commercially produce green hydrogen on a large scale, thanks to a massive $4.5 billion investment by Singapore-based Sembcorp Industries. The project, located in Tuticorin, will produce green ammonia for export to Japan, marking a significant step towards a greener future and strengthening ties between India, Singapore, and Japan.
