The Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating the alleged sex video involving Karnataka MP Prajwal Revanna has summoned both him and his father, MLA H D Revanna, for questioning within 24 hours. The investigation team has also issued a notice to Revanna’s father and JD(S) MLA H D Revanna. The probe into the series of obscene videos circulating in Hassan district of Karnataka, allegedly involving Prajwal Revanna of the Janata Dal (Secular) party, continues to unfold.

Amidst the ongoing blame game over the Prajwal Revanna ‘sex video’ case, a scuffle erupted between Congress and Janata Dal (Secular) workers in Karnataka’s Hubballi. The clash occurred outside a hotel where the JD(S) Core Committee meeting was being held. Police intervened to prevent further escalation. Earlier, JD(S) leader H.D. Kumaraswamy had announced Prajwal Revanna’s suspension from the party until the completion of the probe by a Special Investigation Team (SIT). Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticized the Congress for inaction despite being in power in the state, while the National Commission for Women sought a report from the Karnataka Police within three days. The Congress has accused the BJP of helping the MP escape from the country, an allegation that the BJP has denied.
Former Karnataka Chief Minister and JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy has distanced himself from the ongoing ‘sex video’ case involving his nephew Prajwal Revanna, stating that he has nothing to do with it. Kumaraswamy made this remark while addressing a press conference on Monday.
